Cambridge
is a very beautiful university city, with a large student population, and consequently
there are many facilities on offer for the visitor to enjoy, including a wide variety of
restaurants, cafes and pubs, several open parks, excellent shopping, a large 7-screen
cinema centre, and a good selection of nightclubs and music venues. Tours of the famous
university colleges and punting on the river Cam are always very popular in the summer.
Cambridge is a city famous for its bicycles, and the
School organises bicycle hire and helps students to orientate themselves around the city
and follow the local traffic regulations.
Each week the School arranges a varied Sports and Social Programme,
which includes pub and restaurant outings, cinema and theatre trips, tickets for discos
and nightclubs, and excursions to places of interest/famous tourist spots in England.
Evening trips to see famous musicals in London's West End, and weekend trips to Scotland,
Wales and Paris are also offered.
The students have free access to a Sports Hall on
Wednesday afternoons after class, and a number of different sporting activities can be
arranged including horse-riding and golf.
